Sophie Gaur

Sophie Gaur is a design teacher/academic. She was born and raised in India, moving to Melbourne in 2003. Sophie works with visual design on books and publications, illustrations, and identity design, as well as objects. She also teaches at RMIT University in the School of Design; she is a current doctoral candidate there. Also trained as an Indian (Hindustan) Classical musician for many years, Sophie’s contribution to Australian poetry book design includes designing and type-setting more than 30 individual collections for a range of publishers, along with major poetry national anthologies.
